Food Facility Registration Service
If you have a food manufacturing, processing, packing, or holding facility and you plan to market your products in the USA, you need to register your food facility with FDA. If your facility is outside the USA, you must have a US FDA Agent to complete the registration. This is where A2Zie can help you as your US FDA Agent.
Your facility or company will require a 11-digit registration number from the FDA that you will be able to use to issue prior notices, register your products, and more. US FDA Agent
All foreign Establishments must identify a US FDA Agent while in the registration process. This is a mandatory requirement, and without US FDA Agent, the registration cannot be completed. A2Z Import Export, LLC. provides US FDA Agent service to foreign food establishments.
Registration Renewal
Food facilities must renew their FDA registration between October 1st and December 31st of every even-numbered year (once every 2 years). The FDA may consider the products of companies that do not comply with FDA renewal requirements as misbranded and may lead to FDA detention of your products.
Certification
We will ensure you receive the certificate of FDA Registration after your facility has been properly registered. The process of submitting to registration or receiving a registration number is only the first step to obtaining the certificate, and the number alone does not denote approval of your facility or products, A2Zie will issue a certificate as proof of FDA registration to our clients for their records free of cost. ** Food Canning Establishment:
All commercial acidified and low-acid canned food processors located in the United States and all processors in other countries who process acidified or low-acid canned food products for export to the United States must register with the FDA. Processing plants must also submit process filing forms containing scheduled process information for each acidified and low-acid canned food produced, and must meet all other requirements of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act. Importers, wholesalers, distributors, brokers, etc. are excluded from the requirement to register.
Acidified food
An acidified food is a low-acid food to which acid(s) or acid food(s) are added for the purpose of reducing the pH to a finished equilibrium pH of 4.6 or below. It has a water activity greater than 0.85 and is stored and distributed under nonrefrigerated conditions.
Low-acid canned food
A low-acid canned food has the following characteristics:
- Equilibrium pH value greater than 4.6 and water activity greater than 0.85.
- Sealed in a hermetic (air-tight) container (i.e., secure against the entry of microorganisms).
- Receives a heat treatment for the purpose of achieving commercial sterility.
- Normally stored and distributed under non-refrigerated conditions.
